Sad Surfers 01:51
set your mattress on fire, break your new wooden chair. your tattoos are itching, so are the piercings you wear. holidays in a war zone, and you've still sand in your hair. postcards from the worst of all beaches, yeah, life's just not fair. won’t stop crying in the taxi, keep on drinking your booze, speak about the choices you've not made, yeah, your feet hurt from the walk in your shoes. what all the sad surfers know: you suffer better with your toes in the sea. what all the sad surfers know: whatever happens life is a beach. how many times will you dig deep for truth? how many lies you'll find cover the root?
2.
Cosy Denial 02:50
with anxious relief, I remark: everything isn’t how I once thought. we spend nights and days searching for keys, we spend nights praying on our knees. I’ll simply just swim with the flow, in times, I’ll have learnt to let go. I’ll simply just swim with the flow, when will I learn to let go? too many times, I’ve tried too many nights to find hope, praying on my knees. too many times, cosy denial, no answer to what life really means. I’ve learnt for myself, I’ve learnt to accept: there’s no way out of here, just a man made pledge, a reward after death, a desperate cry for belief. Though, we can’t accept our nothingness, we spend time searching for our own ways that we walk along for so many years, denying that we’ve gone to waste. spiritual health won’t lead us to salvation and love. we’ve our pockets filled with promises covered in fraud. spiritual health, no benefits, no salvation, no hope. we follow the blind with the crack in the head. we follow him, crash into walls. too many times, I’ve tried too many nights to find hope, praying on my knees. too many times, cosy denial, no answer to what life really means.
3.
Casual Talk 02:56
distract me, detest me, neglect me, unfriend me, reject me, replace me, forget me. accept me, attend me, assist me, caress me, delight me, relieve me, maintain me, regain me. casual talk about the weather, she says: "I will do you better!" she says: "I'll make it up, to everyone else before!" casual talk in a cafe, she says: "I'm gonna stay!" she says: "I'll make you feel like no one else before!“ excite me, amuse me, demand me, confuse me, arouse me, confront me, surprise me, convince me. excite me, amuse me, demand me, confuse me, arouse me, confront me, surprise me, convince me. not the love, you cannot take. more the hope, you cannot shake.
4.
sleep too much, sleep not enough. eat too much, eat not enough. drink too much, drink not enough. smoke too much, can’t smoke enough. feel too much, feel not enough. think too much, think not enough. act too much, act not enough. weep too much, can’t weep enough. your home remedies won’t help, unless you’ve got someone else to tell. only the worst of sides help you define your life. too much is not enough, not enough always too much. hear too much, hear not enough. speak too much, speak not enough. take too much, take not enough. give too much, can’t give enough. hear too much, hear not enough. speak too much, speak not enough. take too much, take not enough. give too much, can’t give it up.

about

Sleep Routine is a 5 piece outfit from Berlin. Zugezogen from all over the country over the last few years, their diversity is also shown in their musical background.
Two guitars with Indie- and Math-Rock influences, a fast Screamo bass guitar and hard hitting drums build the foundation which is topped by pissed off lyrics about pleasure and pain, about trust and doubt and about the abhorrence of living in these „modern times.“
This is Hardcore, this is Punk, this is Emo and yet everything all those labels don’t represent.

Tape release on Evil Greed.
